96-Year-Old Woman Puts Home Up For Sale And People Go Inside To Find It Untouched After 72 Years

In 2014, a 96-year-old Toronto resident was selling her two-story home located in the West Toronto neighborhood of Bloor West Village.

From the outside, the house didn’t look like anything out of the ordinary, and even her neighbors had no idea about the surprise she’d been keeping inside.

The home was intricately and gorgeously decorated in perfect style, drawing from the best of the 1950s and ’60s from floor to ceiling. We’re talking metallic wallpaper, modern baroque prints, colorful carpeting, and neo-ornate splendor, and much, much more.

The homeowner was a 96-year-old seamstress who had always been passionate interior design but unable to make it her profession. Despite her age, she and her family lovingly maintained the home’s classic beauty and eccentricities for 72 years.

The interior remained in absolutely pristine condition…

From the outside, this 96-year-old woman’s home in Toronto looks pretty ordinary.

Nothing special, right?

But just wait…

The elderly homeowner was once a seamstress and knitter by trade.

But at 96 years old, she’s finally got the recognition she deserves as an interior designer, though she never had formal training.

From floor to ceiling, this two-story detached home is decorated in perfect 1960s style.

Just look at that wallpaper!

The homeowner said, “I like soft colors, and I like things to match and flow well together. I prefer tone-on-tone to bright colors.”

It’s easy to see her favorite colors are soft pastels, like pink, purple, sea-foam, and aqua.

The kitchen boasts amazing light fixtures and custom cabinet hardware.

And who doesn’t love a breakfast nook?

These date all the way back to the days of The Brady Bunch and are perfect for your cozy morning coffee.

The master bedroom features bright, bold gemstone purple, lilac walls, purple carpeting, and a fuchsia settee.

Look at those built-ins, the copper gold mirror, and emerald velour.

Just beautiful!

The homeowner’s daughter remembers how her mother’s style wasn’t complete without the color pink.

Naturally, this was her favorite room in the house!

The family bathroom is also pink, but with matte gold accents to match.

This is the style maven’s sewing studio, where she showcases her love for purple and orange.

No retro home would be complete without a fabulous, spacious basement.

It keeps that vintage look, but also has a genuine playroom feel.

The basement bathroom features a sweet lilac sink, with a function-forward accordion shower stall door.

A fully-equipped basement laundry suite, too? This home has seriously got it all.

Outside, there’s a wonderful outdoor space, complete with Astroturf and swan planter.

There’s more than enough room for a whole family to enjoy the outdoors, with a sweet little garden shed painted in a soft mint shade.

No one on the street ever talked about the home, or knew what it looked like inside.

But now everyone is well aware of incredible design, and its 96-year-old decorator and keeper.

If you were blown away by this incredible home, please SHARE this story with your friends and family!

Dead Sea Scrolls SHOCK discovery: Noah’s Ark was a PYRAMID and Noah was Egyptian

NOAH’s Ark was in the shape of a pyramid, according to startling new revelations following a high-tech scan of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

More than 50 years ago, a shepherd found seven scrolls in the Qumran Caves in the Judean desert of the West Bank near to the Dead Sea.

The findings formed a larger manuscript which have been come to be known as the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The papers contain Biblical and non-Biblical stories and have offered scientists a glimpse into the past and shed new light on Abrahamic religions.

The latest discovery, which was found by scientists who scanned a piece of the Dead Sea Scrolls using different wavelengths of light at 28 times higher resolution than standard scans, revealed that Noah’s Ark was pyramid-shaped.

Two of the Dead Sea Scrolls
The Qumran Cave, where some of the scrolls were found

Experts had been unable to read a word following the Hebrew phrase “the ark’s tallness” on the scrolls, but thanks to the high-tech scan, they have now discovered that the word is ‘ne’esefet’.

The translation of ne’esefet from Hebrew to English means “gathered”, which Dr Alexey Yuditsky from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem says means that the ark’s ribs were gathered at the top to form a shape of a pyramid and the discovery is actually backed up by previous findings.

The scrolls revealed Noah’s Ark was pyramid-shaped
This discovery has led some to believe Noah was actually a pharaoh

Dr Yuditsky says the Septuagint, which is a Greek translation of the Bible which dates back to the third century BC, also describes the ark’s shape as a pyramid, while medieval authors such as Maimonides also suggested the same.

This discovery has led some to believe Noah, who escaped from ancient Egypt, was actually a pharaoh, as pyramids were a sign of high standing in the North African empire at the time.

Blogger Jesse Waugh writes on his website: “Many ‘alternative’ historians now believe that Moses was Akhenaten, who escaped to Amarna with his people and his Queen Nefertiti, and where he set up a new society dedicated to the veneration of the monotheistic sun-god Aten.

“Is the Old Testament actually the story of the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt?”

A recently unearthed mummy equipped with a well-preserved pair of ‘Adidas sneaker’ has intrigued archaeologists and conspiracy theorists alike. While some consider it to be only a lucky find, others have brought conclusive arguments as to why this could be the remnants of an actual time traveler.

Time travel has always been a fascinating topic, especially in present days when this concept doesn’t look so futuristic after all. With our current development in technology, we can dream of cruising through time in a couple hundred years. Until that day arrives, we’ll need to focus our attention on a very bizarre archaeological find from the Altai Mountains in Siberia, where an unusual mummy had recently been discovered.

So, what’s the connection between those mummified remains and time travel? Well, there’s a certain item on the deceased body that’s strongly resembling a pair of – you guessed it – Adidas sneakers. If the pair of shoes prove to be authentic, then the world will know that time travel is a real phenomenon. However, I’m inclined to think that people at that time were only skilled shoemakers. Or were they really?

The extremely well-preserved remains belong to a Turkik person that lived some 1,500 years ago in central Asia. The body was found alongside the remains of a horse, a pillow, and a sheep’s head. Archaeologists also found a saddle, bridle, clay vase, wooden bowl, trough, iron kettle, and four different ‘Dool’ (Mongolian clothes).

It is the first complete Turkik burial at least in Mongolia – and probably in all Central Asia. This is a very rare phenomenon. These finds show us the beliefs and rituals of Turkiks,” said B. Sukhbaatar, researcher at Khovd Museum. “We can see clearly that the horse was deliberately sacrificed. It was a mare, between four and eight years old. Four coats we found were made of cotton.

Researchers haven’t been able to determine the genre of the deceased so far, but they believe the remains belonged to a woman because they found no trace of a weapon inside the tomb, where male warriors were always buried alongside their bow.

The resting place was found at an altitude of 2,803 meters, and the mummy – still wrapped in felt – was resting its bones inside a 3-metre-deep grave. The body preserved extremely well because of the cold temperatures, together with the belongings and horse remains.

The grave was located 2803 meters above sea level. This fact and the cool temperatures helped to preserve the grave,” said Sukhbaatar. “The grave was three meters deep. The finds show us that these people were very skilled craftsmen. Given that this was the grave of a simple person, we understand that craft skills were rather well developed.

There are several things that don’t add up here. First of all, Mongolians are well-known for their herds of horses, which in turn determines the wealth of their people. These noble animals were (and still are) essential to them, meaning that whenever someone died, they would leave behind a substantial herd.

The grave of the Turkik mummy is considered to be rich in possessions, but since only the remains of a horse were found inside, researchers are now insinuating that the mummy didn’t belong to the elitist class of the region. But how is that possible if four different garbs, together with a presumed pair of ‘Adidas sneakers’ and numerous other items including the wool originating from a camel were discovered inside the tomb? Could it be that this woman was of a different culture? A distant traveler with knowledge of time manipulation?

A Romanian archaeologist explains more about the burial ceremony in his book about Turkik nomads. It reveals that Turkik people preferred being buried with far less material possessions, but they sacrificed their horses to accompany them on the other side.

When a man died, the survivors dug a pit as large as a house, in which they laid the deceased holding in his hand a wooden cup filled with a drink, as well as his belt, bow, and money…Following that, the dead man’s horses were killed, the number of horses sacrificed being an indication of his personal wealth.

So how does a not-so-wealthy Turk woman end up in a strategically-placed grave atop of the Altai Mountains, together with rich possessions and a pair of sneakers from the future? Is it possible that archaeologists really stumbled across the mummified remains of a time traveler, or is this but a mere coincidence?

Harvard Study Claims “Adolf Hitler Was a Woman”

Researchers from the University of Harvard claims that the skull fragment of Adolf Hitler, secretly preserved for decades by Soviet intelligence, belonged to a woman.

DNA analyses performed on the skull, held for decades by the Russian State Archive in Moscow, have been processed at the genetics lab of the University of Harvard. The results, to be broadcast next month in History Channel’s new series Hunting Hitler, which explores alternative theories surrounding the ruler’s death, completely astonished scientists.

Professor of Forensic anthropology, Mr. Verner said: “How is this possible? How could Hitler have hided this aspect of his life from historians for so long?” he admits, visibly puzzled by the results.

The study is believed to be the most in-depth analysis of the Fuhrer’s skull ever made. “We used highly advanced technology . Our results clearly imply that the skull possessed by the Russian State Archive is 100% female” he told local reporters.

Was Hitler a woman?

Swiss historian, Abraham Zerlig, has claimed for over 38 years that Hitler was in fact, a woman.

“I was a teacher at the University of West Berlin in the 70′s that I had privileged access to Adolf Hitler’s medical files. His personal physician at the time, Helmut Lang, had noted a number of physiological anomalies that led him to believe that Hitler was in fact a woman” he recounts.

“I had the opportunity to discuss these questions in detail with the physician himself  before he past away in 1981. I have described these anomalies in detail in my 1976 best-selling book Die Frau hinter Hitler (The woman behind Hitler). At last, the life work of my good and regretted friend, Dr Helmut Lang, has finally been vindicated” he explained this week in an interview on German television.

A 2010 German documentary on the controversial subject of Adolf Hitler allegedly being a woman sparked national outcry when a group of German Neo-Nazis attacked members of the film crew and stabbed one member to death, leading to the arrest and conviction of five people.

In a vast and ancient burial site in the Caucasus Mountains of southern Russia, archaeologists have discovered what appear to be 2,400-year-old solid gold ‘bongs’. These ornate devices are believed to have belonged to the Scythians, an ancient and little-understood Iranic people that ruled the vast areas of Eurasia between 9th century BC and 4th century AD.

The ancient apparatuses were uncovered during a dig to lay down new power lines along with over seven pounds of other gold items, including two neck rings, a finger ring, and a gold bracelet. The treasures were buried within a chamber lined with stone and concealed by a thick layer clay.

After an analysis of the sticky black residue found within the golden vessels, it was revealed that these devices were used for the burning and smoke delivery of a concoction made from cannabis and opium. This brings clarity to an age-old quote in the ancient writings of Greek historian Herodotus who said that, “Scythians used a plant to produce smoke that no Grecian vapour-bath can surpass which made them shout aloud.”

It has been said for centuries that the Scythians were known to have smoked, or drank in the form of a brew, a mysterious and powerful plant mixture to achieve an altered state of consciousness, with which they would charge into battle. Experts hope that further examination of the detailed depictions of humans and animals adorning the vessels will piece together some of the mysterious history behind the Scythians and their familiarity with altered states of consciousness.

Real-Life Vampire Couple Says Sucking Blood Is Better Than Sex

They’re bloody perfect for each other.

Two self-proclaimed vampires in Austin, Texas, say they’ve found true love thanks to a passionate relationship built on sucking each other’s blood.

Countess Lea and Count Tim Van Doorn (who we suspect aren’t really royal) met two years ago at a vampire festival and felt what Tim described to Barcroft TV as an instant “connection of darkness.”

That quickly turned into a romance that alternately really bites and really sucks ― in a good way, according to Lea, a 20-year-old fetish model.

“We are kind of like sharks once we get going. I feel this rush of life, their essence, and their energy is coming into me,” she told Barcroft TV. “It is a sexual experience and we often draw blood in the bedroom. Vampires are highly sexualized creatures and having sex literally gets the blood pumping.”

Although the couple each has matching acrylic fangs strong enough to draw blood, they prefer to use razor blades or syringes.

Tim, a 31-year-old tarot card reader, says the experience is as satisfying as sex.

“When I feed via blood it is it just as good as sex because as I feel this rush of life, their essence, their energy is coming into myself and I am taking it in and I feel empowered,” he told Barcroft TV. “I feel the person I’m feeding from on a whole different level and in a totally different way than I could with words.”

Lea added, “I actually prefer drinking blood to having sex. You are taking the essence of a person and that to me is ecstasy. There is no better feeling.”

These partners-in-plasma plan to get married in November 2018, and are raising Tim’s 3-year-old son from a previous marriage.

They say they will both be happy if he follows in their path, but don’t want to force it on him.

“We feel that it is something that the vampire has to discover for themselves,” Tim told Barcroft TV.

As extreme as the practice may seem, consuming small quantities of blood are likely harmless according to Live Science, as long as the “donor” is free of blood-borne diseases.

A 2015 study by D.J. Williams, director of social work at Idaho State University, suggests the global vampire population numbers in the thousands.

Though the “Twilight” movies and the “True Blood” series have helped make vampires trendy, Williams told Reuters that the majority of self-proclaimed vampires “believe they were born that way; they don’t choose this.”

VATICAN IN FLAMES: Fire and thick black smoke billowing above Pope’s walled city

PLUMES of dark smoke can be seen rising from the walled city, in Rome, as a fire rages near the religious site.

According to reports the Pope is inside the Vatican, the heart of the Roman Catholic Church. Alarming footage from the scene shows black smoke pouring into the sky at a considerable rate.  Visitors have taken to social media to express their shock at the scenes unfolding in the city. One person simply tweeted: “Vatican on fire”.

Another said: “Possible explosion at the Vatican.”A third posted online: “Currently a major fire (near the #Vatican), heavy smoke, big column of smoke rises up into the sky.”One eyewitness said they saw smoke, adding: “Then a few minutes later there was a loud boom and more smoke”.

“I’ve heard lots of sirens.”The smoke was drifting high over my apartment.”Photos show a fire raging behind a building, and it is said to have taken hold in the Primavalle district of Rome.

Smoke pours from buildings dangerously close to the Vatican

The fire is said to be coming from a neighbourhood behind the Vatican, and the blaze is not inside the city walls. Local reports indicate the fire is at a nearby car pound, and has “shrouded a building”.The home of the Pontiff, the Vatican is the smallest country in the world measuring just 0.2 square miles. The Pope recently met with US president Donald Trump, and his wife Melania, in his first foreign tour. The pair exchanged gifts, with the Pontiff handing the billionaire a copy of his 2015  encyclical on the effects of climate change. When deciding on a new Pope the papal conclave, the college of cardinals convene and the colour of smoke emanating from the Sistine Chapel indicates whether a decision has been made. Dark smoke indicates the ballot did not result in a new pope, while white smoke indicates a new one has been chosen.

Where Your Favorite Celebrities Worked Before They Were Famous

Though we all have our own favorite celebrities, it’s hard to picture them as anything but successful. They are people we look up to and many of them live pretty glamorous lives. All of this makes it hard to imagine that they are actually just normal people like you and me, many of whom have modest beginnings. Just in case you were curious, here’s a rundown of some unusual celebrity backgrounds you might not have known about.

1. Johnny Depp

Though Johnny Depp is known now for creating distinguished and unique characters on the big screen, his day-to-day life was not always what it is now. In fact, before he was a successful actor in films like Edward Scissorhands and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, he actually made a living by selling people pens over the phone.

2. Brad Pitt

Before he was a heartthrob and a blockbuster star, Pitt used to dance around in a chicken suit for a for a fast food restaurant. We can only imagine how hot the inside of that costume used to be! Suddenly hair and makeup doesn’t sound so bad.

3. Madonna

Though Madonna eventually revolutionized pop music in the 1980s, before that she had humble beginnings working at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Times Square. Still, everybody has to start somewhere.

4. Harrison Ford

As one of the more famous Hollywood origin stories, Harrison Ford was working as a carpenter in George Lucas’s home when he was discovered by the famous director and cast in the iconic role of Han Solo.

5. Sandra Bullock

Though she’s now an Oscar-winning actress, Sandra Bullock originally started her career as so many up and coming actresses do. Throughout the 80s, she made her living as a waitress.

6. Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes is likely considered one of the most beautiful women at the world, all of which is pretty interesting when you consider her first job. Like some of us out there, Mendes worked at the mall—more specifically at a hot dog stand.

7. Angelina Jolie

As Angelina Jolie has been known in the past for her morbid sense of humor, maybe it’s not so surprising that she was once on track to become a funeral director.

8. Stacey Dash

Before her days as an actress and a stint as a commentator on Fox News, Stacey Dash has very relatable beginnings folding clothes at a mall.

9. Jennifer Aniston

Although Friends went on to become one of the most successful sitcoms of all time, Jennifer Aniston’s career started making calls to strangers as a telemarketer.

10. Tim Allen

Although Tim Allen is mostly known for his iconic and family friendly show Home Improvement, his beginnings were much seedier as he used to be a cocaine dealer in the 1970s—he even ended up serving time for his crimes before getting work as an actor.

11. Cindy Crawford

When most people think Cindy Crawford, they think of the world famous supermodel. What most people don’t know is that Crawford used to live in Illinois and once shucked corn for money.

12. Mariah Carey

In addition to her incredible vocal range, Mariah Carey has a reputation of being a diva of highest order. With that in mind, it’s not entirely surprising that she was once on track to finishing beauty school before she became a pop star.

13. Ashton Kutcher

While Ashton Kutcher’s reputation has been built on broad comedies like That 70s Show and Punk’d, he’s actually quite a brainiac—in school, he was originally studying engineering before deciding to go the acting route.

14. Tom Cruise

Of all American movie stars, few are as recognizable or iconic as Tom Cruise. What’s more surprising in light of his highly-publicized involvement with Scientology is that he was originally attending a seminary in the hopes of becoming a priest.

15. Andrew Garfield

Though you may recognize the young British star Andrew Garfield as the star of the new Spiderman movies, he originally started in a much more modest and commonplace job as a barista at Starbucks.

16. George Clooney

Another of America’s most recognizable stars, George Clooney has always been reaching for lofty dreams. Although he eventually succeeded in becoming a movie star, he initially wanted to be a baseball player for the Cincinnati Reds in 1977s. Fortunately for Hollywood, he didn’t make the cut.

17. Rachel McAdams

Finally, before she was America’s newest sweetheart, Rachel McAdams did her time as a cashier at McDonald’s. Still, she’s gone on to star in many movies that have won our hearts such as Mean Girls or Wedding Crashers. It just goes to show that there’s hope for all of us yet!

220 rare vintage cars discovered after 61 years in hiding

When salvage yard owner Oliver Jordan of Enid, OK got in a little tiff concerning a zoning issue over 60 years ago his resolution was simple… Put a padlock on the gate and tell the world to piss off, and so for 61 years only a select few individuals had ever seen his collection of over 220 vintage cars and trucks… until now.

This secret collection of cars became the greatest barn-find hoax of all time

If there’s an automotive story that goes viral, crossing over from just car-lovers to the general public, it’s typically about a large collection of abandoned cars. There’s something about pictures of hundreds of cars covered in dust or in a field of weeds that just makes everyone go all ape. Well, a few years ago some asshat created the doozy of all barn-find stories, and seven years later this bogus story is still popping up on our Facebook feeds…

Anything AnyOne tells a version of the basic story back in 2011 (This post is still getting shared 3 years later):

A New York man retired. He wanted to use his retirement money wisely, and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal. The modest farm house had been vacant for 15 years. The owner and his wife both had died and there were no heirs. The house was sold to pay taxes. There had been several lookers but the large barn had steel doors that were welded shut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to see what was in the barn, and it wasn’t complimentary to the property anyway. So nobody had made an offer on the place.

The New York guy bought it at just half of the property’s worth, moved in and set about to tear in to the barn. Curiosity was killing him. So he and his wife bought a generator and a couple of heavy duty grinders and cut through the welds.

Anything AnyOne goes on to add this gigantic red-flag of a boilerplate:

This is a true story. The man and wife had a great retirement. (They had full claim to the lot). It was valued at $35 Million Dollars.

Bad news, internet people. Aside from the fact the car-filled barn is indeed in Portugal, the story is completely bogus.

The real story, thanks to Tom Cotter & sportscarmarket.com, is far-less exciting. The cars all belong to a former car dealer form the 70s & 80s who saved his favorites until the barn filled up. After that the doors were locked and soldered shut. A photographer, Manuel Menezes Morais, was commissioned by the owner to take the pictures that have fueled the ludicrous story we now know is false.

Now you know the facts. Yes, there’s a barn in Portugal filled with rare cars. No, they’re not for sale, and no, some New Yorker didn’t stumble into the fortune of a lifetime. Case closed. (And here are more pictures for you, because, well, they’re awesome.)
